On February 20, Yuri Alaric Nagassa, Stein Lightman, Martin Schubert, and H. Richard Loeb posted their thoughts on the upcoming Shōnin Anomaly on G+.
There are 6 codes scattered around their respective posts:
Yuri Alaric Nagassa
jebbbsfj5??magnus3
syvdigqw49nzhws3
Stein Lightman
ftruyqcx7misty'sfarm3
zgwqnxqz4zxxvkg4
Martin Schubert
hmfzounf2/4
H. Richard Loeb
dqvor
a9qap
4niag
At first glance, there seems to be a lack of numbers for the codes. Martin Schubert’s code looks interesting, the / character can be interpreted as the advance glyph.
hmfzounf2advance4
The code works. We can speculate from this code that the new format could be:
[a-z][a-z][a-z][a-z][a-z][a-z][a-z][a-z][2-9]keyword[2-9]
We will test our theory with Yuri Alaric Nagassa’s codes:
The two ?? in jebbbsfj5??magnus3 can be interpreted as 13magnus:
jebbbsfj513magnus3
The other code can be discovered using ROT 4 on all characters to produce 3rdlaw as the keyword:
wczhmkua83rdlaw7
Stein Lightman’s first code fits into our new code format, with a keyword sub required for Misty’s Farm. Going a quick search for Misty Hannah Farm reveals this post which refers to Afram/Afarm.
ftruyqcx7afram3
The second of Stein Lightman’s code is also looking like it fits into the format, a quick atbash reveals accept as the keyword
atdjmcja4accept4
The code in H. Richard Loeb’s post is a simple reverse transposition
rovqdpaq9again4
From these, we can confirm that our speculation about the new code format is true.
[a-z]{8}[2-9]keyword[2-9]
We still don’t know when the old code format will expire. It’s likely there will be some codes using the old format with the JoJo’s Word of the Day puzzles.
